Lobby Video Installation

Elevator lobbies are nothing more than a passageway to a final destination.

I decided to challenge that idea.

I was working on the 3rd floor of a multi-tenant office building at an agency where I was the Creative Director.

My goal was to create a lobby video experience so engaging that when the elevator doors opened, riders were compelled to get off and watch what was happening even if they were not meant to exit on that floor.

We installed three short throw high definition projectors and hide them with a few tweaks to the architecture. Using a software called MadMapper we were able to sync the projectors to create the video experience. We also had a special paint created to make the light of the visual projection brighter.

Holiday Launch

We launched our visual experiment just as the holidays arrived. I created and edited the original video as a concept to get my creative team excited for this new large 24 foot canvas. We created 3 unique videos using existing holiday classic animated specials.

Special Events In Pop Culture

The lobby video experience was always evolving. It was a video canvas that allowed us to celebrate current events in pop culture.

For the opening weekend of one of the new Star Wars films, I decided to create a video that would pay tribute to the galaxy of fans that have populated the internet with their passion for the galaxy far far away.

Thank you to all of the Star Wars fans across the galaxy for the use of your videos.
